In 2009 I sanded all the paint off of my maroon 1994 Nissan Sentra Limited Edition. I kept all of the dust that came off during the process. I then mixed that dust with oil to make ink, and used that ink to make a series of prints. The number of prints in the edition (243) was limited by the amount of ink I was able to make from the entirety of the dust.
(I re-painted the car gray.)
The car is long gone, scrapped in 2018 when it stopped driving, but I have a lot of these prints left if you need some art for your house.
The printing process and its results were featured in the 2013 book For the Love of Letterpress.
